actually, “autism is a huge part of who i am and i’m proud of it” and “autism is a disability that requires accommodations” are both true statements that can and should coexist

In principle I have no issue with an American Eurovision, but what bothers me is that they aren’t copying the right things. The whole point of Eurovision is that it’s continent-wide, covering a shit-ton of different countries that have vastly different musical traditions and barely speak the same language, and they had a chance to do that! It could have been North America! We could have watched the USA discovering the much-needed humbling of footing the bill for a continental event and getting a straight pass to the final, only to get fucking trounced through political voting because everyone hates your piece of shit fascist government! There are 23 sovereign states in North America. We could have watched as the USA and Canada miserably trade votes that no one else will give them, while the entire Caribbean forms a voting block that goes head to head with a wall of Latin American countries. We could have sympathetically nodded as Israel, Australia and Azerbaijan all get added and everyone complains about whether or not they should be allowed. We could have cheered as the USA snidely mock the Haitian entry, only to watch it win as they themselves slide to a humiliating nil point loss because they fielded NSYNC doing some soulless acoustic ballad in a desperate bid to reclaim the glory days. We could have had the delight of 21 different national hosts announcing how wonderful it is to have this incredible night in which we are all united in spite of our differences before announcing voting results so heavily political that countries literally have to formally apologise to one another the next day.
But no, it’s X-Factor with a slightly flashier voting system and more flags. What a disappointment. I bet they won’t field even one vampire.

Hermione: HARRY NO! We already eradicated it once, let’s not make the world do it again

Friday 21/11/2020 update - A GOOD NEWS AND A BAD NEWS
The Catheterization went really well. The only hiccup was that the first femoral vein they tried to go through was too small, but when they tried the other femoral vein, it was big enough so they used that one. Unfortunately, that meant the doctors had punctured both sides of her groin. The doctor explained he was able to see that there is actually just one hole between the left and right ventricles, but it is an extremely large hole. Henley’s left ventricle is pumping FOUR times as much blood as her right ventricle because of the hole, which means she’s getting a lot of excess blood pushed up into her lungs. Luckily, it does not look like she has developed pulmonary hypertension and the surgeon is surprised at how well Henley has been functioning with her heart the way it is. Henley is a super strong little girl!.Henley’s hole between her left and right ventricles is so large she has to have open heart surgery to put a patch over it. However, the heart catheterization and the echos show that Henley also has quite a few small holes in addition to the large hole. This is where it can become complicated because the doctors cannot tell how these smaller holes are affecting her, or if the smaller holes can be closed, because the large hole is so detrimental. The best case scenario would be, Henley gets open heart surgery. This is where I need your help more than ever. Please donate and reblog than ever. I’ve made less than $200 ($147) all through this campaign which made me take some loans to go on with the Catheterization and all.
Please donate if you can, reblog, tag, share with whoever can help (boost or donate)

Henley had her follow up appointment this morning. We were able to ask lots of questions and it’s been decided that Henley will have open heart surgery sometime soon, depending on;
1. How soon we gather some amount of money (I and my husband are working on getting a loan in addition to your donations, but if we can get a total donation of $5,000 as soon as possible then a loan might not be needed, just a sale of some properties in addition will do).
2. The surgeons schedule (will communicate the date when fixed). Hopefully this one surgery will be all she needs, but there is a chance she’ll need more. After the surgery, Henley will be in the hospital for 1-2 weeks and will be recovering at home for another 5-7 weeks. We really appreciate how thoughtful and generous you all have been. My husband and I are so fortunate in so many ways. we have a very strong support system with our amazing family and wonderful friends and of course from you all, we can’t thank you enough. Plus, Henley is the light of our lives. We just love her so much. . Please let’s keep this going and together we can make the surgery happen as soon as possible 💜💜💜
Booosssstttt!!!
She’s made only $722 of her goal
$1400 on the 24th Nov. The bills they’re facing are obscene. Let’s help. <3
I’m so overwhelmed right now just few days ago it looks like it’s not even possible.
But today: 25th of November 2020 we’ve raised $1,730 of the goal (let’s say $5,000).
And I already have a feeling that everything is possible and we can book an appointment with the surgeon for or even before next weekend.
You all gave us hope and I can’t explain how thankful and lucky we feel as a family. Thank you so much and please let’s keep it going and I believe Henley will meet with the surgeon next weekend. ❤
UPDATE ;Wednesday DECEMBER -2 -2020
Hi everyone, thank you for your unending love and support.
it’s been a really challenging weeks for Henley, I and my family. I only wish I can tell it all.
This is to inform everyone that we (I and my husband) have till 9th of December to apply for the loan to treat my Henley. We’ve decided to wait till see if any miracle can happen from here( don’t forget the new goal is to reach $5,000) as we already have been seeing in recent days. incase there isn’t and we didn’t reach the $5,000 goal before 8th of December we’d take the loan up and sell few more things to get Henley’s surgery done (will communicate date to you all once set).
once again, thanks for your unending love 💘 ❤

Do people not actually know what’s happening here? Or do conservatives just throw out their brain when they join the party?
This is an N95 mask with a hospital mask over the top. The N95 mask filters out particles. It protects the person wearing it. It has an exhale valve, so people who aren’t assholes (and know what they’re doing) wear another mask over the top to protect other people, in case they unknowingly have COVID-19. Anyone who’s been to see a medical professional in person this year would have seen them wearing exactly this combination of masks.
This is the mask combination worn by someone who knows their science and cares about the health of the people they come into contact with.
It also allows for the top (less hard to get and more disposable) mask to be switched out regularly while keeping the N95 on consistantly, which helps prevent germs from being spread even more!
